Tree sketches

Yesterday evening a friend and I hooked up with a fantastic group of local artists for a sketching session in the park. It's the truth, officer. They were most welcoming and it was inspiring to be drawing in their company. Hopefully it'll become a regular thing.
These were drawn with two Pentel pocket pens - one for the black and an empty one for the wash.

Truly gorgeous.

How do you mean "an empty one"?

Thanks, Dave.

Oh yeah, I wasn't very clear there... I used the empty pen (ie sans cartridge) to dip into a cup of ink wash because I didn't have a regular brush on me.
